Purpose of Workshop: The next event in the DOE Laboratories of the Future (LOTF) workshop series will be focused on laboratory researcher mental health and work-life balance post-COVID. Panel speakers will address:

  • What are factors that undermine and those that support researcher mental health?
  • How has COVID-19 exacerbated the tension between work and life, especially for primary caregivers?
  • How can we improve research mentoring relationships for organizations and institutions?
  • What are ideas for how we can remake the DOE laboratory of the future work-life balance post-COVID?
