The LS-PAC MODELS Center provides mentorship, professional learning, and networking opportunities for historically underrepresented STEM undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and early-career faculty.

We are an NSF-funded Louis Stokes Regional Center of Excellence.  We offer mentoring, professional development, and career networking opportunities for historically underrepresented scholars (African-American/Black, American Indian or Alaska Native, and Hispanic/Latino) in STEM. Our goal is to increase diversity in academia by encouraging undergraduate students to pursue advanced STEM degrees and providing graduate students, postdocs, and early-career faculty with the resources and guidance they need to have successful careers in academia.

Participants in our program will have the opportunity to:
  1. Be mentored by one or more STEM professionals who can help provide career guidance and skill development.
  2. Meet and network with leading professionals and scholars within their field to build career connections.
  3. Receive access to professional development courses designed to enhance the ability to obtain a career in academia.
  4. Be a mentor to other STEM scholars.
Interested individuals can learn more by visiting our website at www.lspacmodels.org and completing our onboarding form to sign up for an orientation and get matched with a mentor.
