The IGEN Bridge Program Application is open! Last year, IGEN received over 165 applications of which 73 were successfully placed in Bridge Programs at the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union and the American Physical Society. We look to help even more during this open graduate application season.

The goal of the Inclusive Graduate Education Network is to increase the number of underrepresented racial and ethnic minority students that complete a graduate degree in the physical sciences. IGEN member societies (the American Astronomical Society, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Physical Society, and the Materials Research Society are partnering with academic departments that are committed to providing intentional support, mentoring, and access to resources for their graduate students. These academic departments are recognized by IGEN for their efforts to support students as they move from undergraduate to graduate studies.

Interested students can apply to Bridge Programs through the free IGEN Bridge Application Portal, where their applications are circulated to over 60 institutions committed to fostering the success and retention of underrepresented students.

Applications are currently being accepted.  Complete your application by March 15 in order to ensure your application will be reviewed by as many institutions as possible.
