The COVID-19 pandemic magnified existing equity gaps and further marginalized many students. Many faculty at our institution (as well as others) were unprepared to meet these needs. Directly informed by student experiences during the COVID pandemic, we supported faculty in the design and implementation of innovative and culturally responsive curriculum and assessment practices. The cultural shifts needed to provide sustained equitable success require a great deal of collaboration and institutional support. Institutional support includes faculty release for creating curriculum and assessment practices that are equitable by design and to sharing these practices through faculty
professional development.
