Regardless of our gender, race, ability, sexuality, class, age, and other identities, technology impacts how we see and navigate the world around us. Yet, systemic inequities and inequalities have resulted in a lack of diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic and professional computing environments, thereby impacting not only who creates technology, but also who properly consumes it.
This summit is part of the Alliance for Identity-Inclusive Computing Education (AiiCE) project which aims to address these barriers and create measurable change. The vision for this summit is to invite high school, college, and university instructors to engage in this work through a facilitated two-day workshop to investigate, collaborate, and develop strategies to support identity-inclusive curricula and pedagogical approaches.
